Project Purchasing Manager

6 months, 40+ hours/week initially

Output/Results
· Strong working relationships with key suppliers, vendors and team members
· Team understands and follows project purchasing policy
· Secure the best value possible for project team – cost, schedule and quality

Responsibilities
· Follow/amend existing capital project purchasing systems and protocols
· Execute the construction tendering and equipment purchase process to meet project schedule and budget
· Operate in a team environment to work closely with engineering, construction and finance to resolve purchasing/related issues
· Follow-up with suppliers, vendors and contractors as needed to resolve quality, delivery installation and price issues.

Requirements
· Technical background with experience in mechanical or chemical engineering/technology
· Purchasing experience with chemical processing equipment
· Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
· Works on job site in Vonore, TN
